Assisted Living Reviews for The Park At Bay Area

December 25, 2021

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My friend moved into The Park At Bay Area last month. It's excellent. The staff takes care of my friend. Upkeep and maintenance are excellent. It's an open layout. The rooms were excellent, open, clean, and well taken care of.

I visited this facility

I toured The Park At Bay Area for my parents, and it was awesome. The lady who gave me the tour was named Melissa. She was very friendly and professional, and she gave me a good tour. She explained to me everything about how things works there. The room looked suitable, clean, all new, and fresh. The location is ideal for relatives to visit.

I visited this facility

The Park at Bay Area was expensive, but it's new. They only had ten residents, so they had everybody locked down in the memory side of it. He would not have been allowed to go out even in the courtyard by himself and I did not want him to feel that restricted. The whole atmosphere seemed very cold to me. It didn't seem like a homey type environment. It seemed almost more medical, especially with them having everybody locked down on the memory care side right now. I was not impressed with that. They only took us on the assisted living. They could open the door, but you didn't really get to see a lot. Everything's locked down. Everything's socially distanced with the dining rooms and all that. This is a bad time to be doing this. The nurse who accommodated me was nice, friendly, and very forthcoming. They're looking to hire staff, which was a little concerning to me too. I didn't get a good homey feeling there. It felt more like a medical nursing home type facility to me.

I visited this facility

I toured this facility for a friend. I was very pleased with the friendliness of the staff. The facility was very well laid out for handicapped accessibility for the residents. The food was excellent. My friend did choose to become a resident and she states it is excellent. She feels she is getting excellent care there and the staff is wonderful. And most of all she loves the Activity Director

Memory Care Reviews for The Park At Bay Area

I visited this facility

The staff at The Park At Bay Area gave me a tour of the whole area, the memory care, and the regular area where the patient could come in and out. It was a very beautiful facility. The person that helped us and gave us a tour was very polite. She informed us of other things that we're not familiar with because this is new for us. I loved it, but we cannot afford that. If we could, we would have happily placed our father there. It was still early in the morning, and we just went in there for like 10 minutes to tour. It wasn't a long one. She showed us a room if my father would happen to stay there, but that was it because we were not going to get anything (which is why I didn't want to take too much of her time in there). The rooms were nice, but we would have to furnish. The staff was wonderful.
