Programming Homelink® to Genie® Garage Door Openers

Helpful Tips

When programming, it helps to clear out your HomeLink by pressing and holding the outset and tertiary buttons down until
the indicator on the HomeLink blinks slow then fast (almost 20 seconds), and so release both buttons. If there is
something already programmed to your HomeLink do not articulate information technology unless y'all are able to reprogram what is already

First, Train HomeLink to any Genie Intellicode® Remote

1. Choose a button on a Genie Intellicode remote* non yet programmed to your operator. HomeLink button downwards also – holding both sets of buttons down until the indicator

You are now gear up to programme your HomeLink to an opener. In the following

b) Hold down both the remote push button and your HomeLink button at the same fourth dimension. As you hold both buttons down, the indicator on your HomeLink should blink slowly then fast. Once information technology goes fast, release both buttons.

Homelink® System Programming for newer Genie Models:

The steps below have a slight departure based on the date your garage door opener was manufactured.

In that location are steps for programming Homelink based on when your garage door opener was manufactured. If your series number has the first 5 digits of 11290 or smaller so your model was fabricated prior to November 2011. If your series number has the beginning 5 digits of 11291 or higher and then your model was fabricated after November 2011. Follow the appropriate instructions below.

Homelink® Arrangement Programming for newer Genie Models manufactured later on November 2011:

  1. Press and concur the program button until the round blue LED is on – release the button. The long LED will flash purple.

  2. Printing the desired HomeLink button for one second and release information technology. Press that same button over again for one 2nd and release. The round LED and long LED will both turn blueish and then plow off.

  3. Pressing the HomeLink push button again will cause the garage door to movement.

Homelink® System Programming for newer Genie Models manufactured earlier November 2011:

  1. Printing and concur the program button until the round blue LED and the long blue LED are on – release the button. The circular blue LED volition be on.
